How I signed Wizkid through Banky W – Akon

Akon revealed that he signed Wizkid after Banky W introduced the then-rising Nigerian singer to him during a visit to Nigeria. He clarified that Banky W discovered Wizkid and that his own involvement helped break Wizkid into the US market. Akon also reflected on missing the chance to sign Drake in 2008, as the rapper demanded $1 million which Akon did not have at the time.
