How we disbursed N76 million to Kaduna pilgrims - Chairman

The Executive Chairman of Kaduna State Pilgrims Welfare Agency, Malam Salihu S Abubakar, revealed that N76 million was realized from foreign exchange differentials of pilgrims' Basic Traveling Allowances. Each pilgrim received a refund of 123 Saudi Riyals after the naira appreciated against the dollar, reducing the BTA cost. Malam Salihu stressed that the money rightfully belonged to the pilgrims, not the agency, and commended Governor Uba Sani for support. The airlift of Kaduna pilgrims will commence on June 15 as per NAHCON's schedule.
