Hundreds of doctors demand World Medical Association suspend Israel

Hundreds of doctors gathered outside the World Medical Association (WMA) summit in the Netherlands, calling for the suspension of the Israeli Medical Association (IMA) due to ethical violations. During the protest, 81 healthcare workers removed their scrubs, each bearing the name of a Palestinian healthcare worker detained by Israel. The campaign criticizes the IMA for remaining silent as Israeli forces have destroyed nearly all healthcare facilities in Gaza since October 2023, killing over 1,700 Palestinian medical professionals. Protesters accuse the IMA of complicity in these attacks and demand their expulsion from the WMA.
