Hundreds of hectares of crops and forests destroyed by armed groups in Masisi, according to civil society

Hundreds of hectares of reforestation and banana plantations have been destroyed in the Masisi territory of North Kivu over the past two months, according to local civil society. These destructions, attributed to armed groups, threaten the environment and food supply, particularly for the city of Goma. Civil society is calling for an end to these practices and is requesting intervention from the relevant authorities.
