Hungary election: Early results show Magyar’s Tisza ahead of Orban’s Fidesz

Preliminary official results in Hungary’s parliamentary election show Peter Magyar’s Tisza party leading with 51% of the vote compared to 40% for Viktor Orban’s Fidesz party. Tisza is ahead in 95 of Hungary’s 106 constituencies and is projected to win over 130 mandates in the 199-seat parliament. Voter turnout was over 77%, a record in Hungary’s post-Communist history.
