Hungary to amend anti-LGBTQ law to align with EU standards

Hungary's government has submitted a bill to parliament to amend anti-LGBTQ rules introduced under former leader Viktor Orban. The bill aims to remove references to the ban on the 'promotion' of homosexuality and gender transition to minors. Conservative Prime Minister Peter Magyar stated that the new rules would apply 'regardless of sexual orientation' and aim to align the country with EU regulations.
