HURIWA kicks against proposed concession of King’s College

The Human Rights Writers Association of Nigeria, HURIWA, has called on the Federal Government to suspend plans to concession the management of King’s College, Lagos, to the Old Boys’ Association under a proposed Public-Private Partnership. HURIWA demanded the immediate publication of the legal and contractual framework backing the arrangement, stating that the school should not be subjected to management without adherence to laws and public accountability. The group raised fundamental questions about the management structure, including who will control the school and how finances will be managed.
