Hussein Taan: the desire to look further, the choice to take his time

Hussein Taan, an entrepreneur based in Côte d’Ivoire, describes Cocotte—his fourteenth shop after twenty years of work—as a rotisserie and coffee shop concept he hopes to develop internationally. Since the first Des Gâteaux et du Pain bakery opened in 2008, the business has expanded its offerings and now has four outlets in Abidjan. Although he has received requests to franchise the brand in the subregion, Taan wants to strengthen and better structure the company before pursuing expansion.
