Victor Osimhen has spoken publicly for the first time about Nigeria's failure to qualify for the 2026 FIFA World Cup, admitting that the disappointment has been difficult. The expanded 48-team tournament started last week, but Nigeria is absent after finishing second in their qualifying group and losing to DR Congo in the playoffs. This marks Nigeria's second consecutive World Cup absence. Osimhen said in a livestream: 'It's bad, not just for me but for the rest of the guys. We've missed out twice in a row.'
