The Chairman of the Lagos State Council of the Trade Union Congress of Nigeria, Comrade Aladetan Abiodun, declared that he remains the duly elected chairman, dismissing reports of his removal. He was elected on September 18, 2025, by accredited delegates during an election at the Nigerian Institute of Medical Research in Yaba, Lagos. Aladetan has also taken legal action regarding the matter at the National Industrial Court in Lagos.
