The MV Odyssey, operated by US company Villa Vie Residences, suspended its around-the-world voyage after arriving in Sihanoukville, Cambodia, on Friday. The company said monthly fuel costs per cabin, historically about $1,800, had risen to $6,000–$8,000 in parts of Asia, amid supply disruptions linked to the war in Iran. Its 203 passengers, mostly Americans, had to disembark without a confirmed departure date, and some said they received only seven hours’ notice. Passengers including Paul and Lynn Montoya also cited itinerary changes, declining food quality and alleged mismanagement.
