ICE agent shoots man in car with five-year-old child in New York: Mayor

An ICE officer shot a man in the Marble Hill neighborhood of New York City, Mayor Zohran Mamdani said, calling the incident 'unconscionable and extremely serious.' Mamdani stated that agents surrounded the man and a five-year-old child in his car before firing multiple rounds, though the child was believed to be unharmed. The Department of Homeland Security confirmed the man was injured and receiving medical treatment, and the incident is under investigation. The mayor has called on President Donald Trump to end ICE enforcement actions in the city.
