IEBC Directs Political Parties to Submit Names of Authorised Persons, Signatures by October 15

The Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) has ordered political parties to submit the names and sample signatures of authorized representatives by October 15, 2026, for the 2027 general elections. Documents must be delivered to Nairobi at Anniversary Towers between 8:00 am and 5:00 pm. Parties are also required to have their nomination rules certified by October 30 and submit them by November 6. Independent candidates must resign from their parties by May 8, 2027, and presidential hopefuls need signatures from at least 2,000 registered voters across most counties by May 24, 2027.
