IEBC Says It Is Not Deleting Pre-2012 Voter Data, Clarifies Who Must Re-Register

The Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) clarified that only voters who did not register biometrically since 2012 are required to re-register. Voter data from before 2012 is not deleted but is not part of the current biometric register unless individuals re-registered. The IEBC reassured the public that the current register, in use since 2013, is credible and contained over 22 million voters by the 2022 General Election.
