Igbo Day 2026: Ohanaeze Demands Accountability and LG Autonomy from South-East Governors

The Igbo socio-cultural organization, Ohanaeze Ndigbo Worldwide, criticized South-East governors over their management of public funds, demanding greater transparency and accountability. It urged each subnational government to clearly demonstrate revenue received, projects executed, benefits delivered, and remaining issues, while respecting local government autonomy. Ohanaeze also called for peaceful resolution efforts regarding Nnamdi Kanu and adherence to democratic principles in local governance.
