IMF Agreement: Sonko Demands 'Absolute Transparency' on Senegal's Commitments

Prime Minister Ousmane Sonko demanded the immediate publication of the economic and financial policy memorandum negotiated between Dakar and the IMF, which has not been made public. He expressed concerns about the lack of details on crucial aspects of the 36-month program worth $2.2 billion, including public debt restructuring and measures to protect vulnerable households. Sonko also reminded that the previous IMF program was suspended due to irregularities in public debt reporting.
