IMF approves $266 million funding for Liberia

The International Monetary Fund has approved a $266 million allocation to Liberia under a new 21-month resilience and sustainability facility aimed at strengthening the country's economy against climate shocks. The IMF also released $26.49 million following the third review of the extended credit facility program, bringing total disbursements to nearly $106 million. In 2025, Liberia's economy grew by 5.1%, largely due to mining activities.
