Imo APC crisis could cost Tinubu South-East votes in 2027, group warns

The Renewed Hope Foot Soldiers for Tinubu (RHFST) group warned that the ongoing crisis in the Imo State APC could weaken President Bola Tinubu’s prospects of winning South-East votes in the 2027 presidential election. In a statement issued Saturday by its National President, Gbenga Owojori, the group urged Governor Hope Uzodimma and former Governor Rochas Okorocha to resolve their dispute and work for party unity. RHFST said the conflict has also changed political calculations around the Senate presidency and raised fears that a leading South-East contender could be excluded before the next Senate is constituted.
