Impeachment Plot: Oyo Chief Whip accuses Olubadan, Ajimobi of inducing Speaker

The Chief Whip of the Oyo State House of Assembly, Gbenga Oyekola, accused the Olubadan of Ibadanland, Oba Rahidi Adewolu Ladoja, and former First Lady of the state, Mrs. Florence Ajimobi, of attempting to induce the Speaker of the assembly, Adebo Ogundoyin, in an alleged plot to impeach Governor Seyi Makinde. Oyekola stated that the Speaker was approached by the Olubadan, who allegedly offered financial support for his electoral ambitions, which he declined. He also revealed that Mrs. Ajimobi attempted to offer him money, which he refused.
