In Beni, religious denominations get involved in Ebola prevention

In Beni, North Kivu, Christian and Muslim communities have set up prevention measures against Ebola, including hand-washing stations and temperature checks at the entrances of places of worship. Some churches have multiplied services to avoid dense gatherings, while others use outdoor spaces. At the largest Catholic parish, hand-washing is mandatory and handshakes are prohibited. In Madrandele, the Adventist community rigorously applies barrier measures with deacons stationed at the entrance and insulating strips on the benches.
