In Boma, higher education stakeholders assess five years of the LMD system

In Boma, stakeholders in higher education, scientific research and innovation spent two days assessing the Licence-Master-Doctorat system, introduced in the DRC in the 2021–2022 academic year. The discussions, which ended on October 28 after the opening of the 2026–2027 academic year, identified the continued use of outdated teaching methods despite the reform’s focus on student-centred learning and skills. Professor Sangabau Raymond also called for greater student mobility between institutions so students can take courses elsewhere and have their grades transferred. Professor Érick Kisonga Manuku of the University of Kinshasa said the system should better prepare graduates for employment needs.
