In Côte d'Ivoire, rural youth launches a giant census and an industrialization plan to stop the exodus

The National Federation of Professional Organizations of Rural Youth of Côte d'Ivoire (FENOPJERCI) has launched a digital and biometric census to structure over 12 million rural youth. The goal is to bring back 40% of urban youth to the villages and to install 570 agricultural product processing units. A reform of local governance has also been announced, limiting village offices to seven members elected by trade groups.
