In DRC, one woman in two of childbearing age suffers from anemia, according to PRONANUT

Anemia remains a major public health problem in the Democratic Republic of Congo. Approximately 51% of women of childbearing age are affected by this condition across the country, according to the Director of the National Nutrition Program (PRONANUT). The Provincial Director of PRONANUT in Kinshasa, Dr Béatrice Kalenga Tshiala, encourages pregnant women to follow a micronutrient supplementation to reduce the risks associated with anemia during pregnancy.
