In Ituri, the army announces operations against armed groups in Mambasa

The Armed Forces of the Democratic Republic of the Congo (FARDC) have launched military operations against armed groups in the Mambasa territory, particularly targeting elements claiming to be wazalendo. These operations aim to secure the villages of Bango, Mayuwano, and Some, where illegal barriers have been erected. The territory administrator reminded that the presence of armed groups is prohibited in Ituri and urged the population to cooperate with security services.
