Aliko Dangote announced in Lagos an expansion project for the Dangote refinery, aiming to increase its capacity to 1.4 million barrels per day, potentially mobilizing 95,000 skilled workers. This project, which is expected to strengthen local fuel supply and reduce dependence on imports, will leverage local skills and aims to enhance the oil and gas value chain in Nigeria. The refinery, currently the largest in Africa with a capacity of 650,000 barrels per day, could surpass the Jamnagar refinery in India.
