Indian activist Wangchuk urged to end hunger strike over exam paper leaks

Sonam Wangchuk, a 59-year-old Indian activist, is on the 17th day of a hunger strike in New Delhi demanding the resignation of Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan over exam paper leaks in May that affected millions of students. His health is deteriorating, having lost 8.5 kg, and he plans to continue for up to six weeks. The Cockroach Janta Party (CJP), founded by Abhijeet Dipke, is staging a sit-in in support and has gained 22 million followers on Instagram. Opposition leaders are urging him to end his fast.
