Indian firm wins $450m contract in Dangote Lamu refinery ahead of launch

India’s state-owned Engineers India Limited (EIL) has secured a contract worth over $450 million from Nigeria’s Dangote Group to provide project management and engineering services for a planned refinery and petrochemical complex in Lamu, Kenya. The deal comes just before the groundbreaking ceremony for the multibillion-dollar project, marking a significant step in Dangote’s expansion into East Africa’s energy sector.
