President Bassirou Diomaye Faye made changes within the National Agency for the Recovery of Economic and Social Activities in Casamance (ANRAC), replacing both the general management and the Supervisory Board. Established in 2004, ANRAC plays a crucial role in implementing the Diomaye Plan for Casamance, which aims to reintegrate displaced persons and revive the economy with an initial budget of approximately 53 to 54 billion CFA francs. These changes come at a sensitive time as the plan is set to expand to other departments in the southern regions and critical operations such as demining are underway.
