Karl Etta Eyong, a forward for Levante, has withdrawn from the upcoming matches of the Indomitable Lions due to a thigh injury sustained during training. Medical examinations confirmed an unavailability of six to eight weeks. To replace him, Ivan Cédric Bikoue Embolo, a forward from Alanyaspor, has been called up and will join the squad for the CAN 2027 qualifiers.
