Indonesia welcomed the delivery of its first aircraft carrier, the former Italian navy vessel Giuseppe Garibaldi, which docked at Tanjung Priok port in Jakarta. President Prabowo Subianto stated that the ship will be used to manage disasters across the archipelago, while also noting its potential for combat missions if necessary. The carrier, to be renamed KRI Sriwijaya, can carry up to 18 helicopters and accommodate 830 personnel.
