Indonesia puts four soldiers on trial over acid attack on activist

Four Indonesian soldiers, including Edi Sudarko and Budi Hariyanto Widhi Cahyono, are on trial for an acid attack on activist Andrie Yunus, who campaigned against the military's expanding role in government. The attack occurred on March 12 when two men on a motorcycle doused Andrie with acid, causing burns over more than 20% of his body and blinding him in one eye. Although police initially identified two suspects, four others were arrested, all connected to the Indonesian military's Strategic Intelligence Agency.
