INEC chair Amupitan must be removed, prosecuted - ADC Reps

The African Democratic Congress (ADC) caucus in the House of Representatives has called for the prosecution and removal of the Chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), Prof Joash Amupitan, over allegations of partisanship. During their inaugural meeting, members expressed concerns about the credibility of INEC, citing actions and statements by Amupitan that are deemed inconsistent with the expectations of an impartial electoral body head. Digital forensic findings suggest a link between Amupitan and a personal X account where he reportedly expressed support for the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).
