Inflation: Jigawa to Increase NYSC Members’ Allowance, Namadi Says

Jigawa State Governor Umar Namadi said the government would review and increase the monthly 5,000-naira allowance paid to NYSC members to help them cope with inflation. Speaking to Batch C corps members at the Yakubu Gowon orientation camp in Fanisau, he praised their community contributions and promised each member a one-off payment of 10,000 naira after the three-week orientation programme. Namadi also pledged to renovate the camp, build a new hall and provide a standby generator.
