Insecurity: Tinubu govt's counter-terrorism measures inadequate — Atiku

Atiku Abubakar, presidential candidate of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), stated that President Bola Tinubu's counter-terrorism measures are inadequate. In a statement by his spokesperson Prank Shaibu, he highlighted that the government's failure to learn from past attacks and adapt its strategies explains the persistence of violence. He called for a comprehensive review of national counter-terrorism policy, focusing on local and community-driven solutions rather than foreign templates. Kidnappings of pupils and teachers in Oyo and Borno states in May illustrate the worsening insecurity.
