"Insensitive move" - Atiku reacts to WAEC, NECO fee increment

Atiku Abubakar condemned the increase in WAEC and NECO examination fees to N50,000 from 2027, as well as the rise in fees for Federal Unity colleges. He described the increments as cruel and economically insensitive, noting that Nigerian families are already facing record inflation and high unemployment. Atiku warned that this would worsen the out-of-school children crisis, which already affects 10.5 to 15 million children. He urged the government to invest in education instead of creating financial barriers.
