Intense fighting in Baidoa: Somali federal army repels pro-Laftagareen militias

Intense fighting in Baidoa involved the Somali federal army, supported by Turkish fighter jets, against a militia backing former South-West State authorities, using kamikaze drones. This was the fourth major offensive by supporters of deposed governor Abdiaziz Laftagareen since the city was retaken by federal forces. After fierce clashes, the government forces inflicted heavy losses on the attackers, who employed explosive vehicles and kamikaze drones, and regained control of the city.
