Internal tensions: Dr Abdourahmane Diouf sparks controversy at Kiiraay

Kiiraay – Les Patriotes républicains has appointed Dr Amadou Wagne as Strategy coordinator and Assane Diouf as coordinator for Communication and Press Relations. The appointments, announced by deputy general supervisor Dr El Hadji Abdourahmane Diouf, have drawn criticism from Bassirou Dieng, a member of the Leaders’ Council and national coordinator of the party’s Media Unit. Dieng accuses Diouf of favoring former members of his Awalé party and says the appointments could sideline other coalition groups while helping Diouf consolidate control ahead of 2029. Dieng notes that the communications task force has been working since November 11, 2025, under general supervisor Aminata Touré, and says he was confirmed in his role.
