Interpol formally urged again to arrest Amadou Sall, son of Macky Sall

Investigating judge Idrissa Diarra has again contacted Interpol’s National Central Bureau in Dakar to seek enforcement of the international arrest warrant issued for Amadou Sall, son of former Senegalese president Macky Sall. In a letter dated July 30, 2026, he requested Sall’s arrest and return to Senegal, along with a documented report on the search efforts. Sall is under investigation on suspicion of criminal conspiracy, misuse of corporate assets and complicity in fraud involving public funds, in a case estimated at 31.9 billion CFA francs. The case draws on a CENTIF report and inquiries into financial transfers, including an estimated 10 billion CFA francs, and the company Woodrose Investment Ltd.
