Nigeria and Russia will clash for the second time in 16 months in an international friendly at Nizhny Novgorod Stadium on Tuesday, October 6, 2026. The teams previously drew 1-1 in a friendly in Moscow in June 2025. Currently, the Super Eagles are ranked 26th in the world, while Russia is in 35th position. This friendly will take place a week after Nigeria's 2027 Africa Cup of Nations qualifying match against Guinea-Bissau.
