‘Investigate threats against Seun Okinbaloye, other journalists’, NGE, SERAP tell Tinubu

The Nigeria Guild of Editors (NGE) and the Socio-Economic Rights and Accountability Project (SERAP) condemned the reported threat by Federal Capital Territory Minister Nyesom Wike against Seun Okinbaloye of Channels Television. They called on President Bola Tinubu to order an immediate and transparent investigation, emphasizing that press freedom in Nigeria is declining. The groups stressed Okinbaloye's right to freedom of expression and criticized the failure to investigate attacks against journalists.
