Investment income lifts CIC half-year profit by 70pc

CIC Insurance Group reported a net profit of Sh1.08 billion in the first half of this year, a 70.4% increase compared to the previous year. This growth was supported by investment income reaching Sh3.96 billion and land sales generating Sh962 million. Despite a 67.2% decline in insurance service results, the company managed to offset this drop through its pharmaceutical activities and asset management.
