IPoB alleges secret transfer of 68 detainees

IPoB alleges that 68 Biafran detainees were secretly moved from Wawa Barracks to correctional facilities in Kuje, Keffi and Suleja. Spokesman Chris Nwaogu also accused the justice system of delaying an appeal against Nnamdi Kanu’s conviction and said a separate case over his detention had stalled after the court file reportedly went missing. The group challenges the legal basis of Kanu’s 2025 conviction and demands his immediate release. It also disowned an audio message calling for a renewed sit-at-home in the South-East and urged supporters to boycott APC activities ahead of the 2027 elections, while warning against violence.
