Marzieh 'Sevda' Ebrahimi Shamsabadi, a 33-year-old Iranian blogger, has been sentenced to death by the revolutionary court in Bandar Abbas for charges related to her media activities and national security. She was found guilty of insulting the Supreme Leader, propaganda against national security, and transmitting photographs of a military site to foreign media. In addition to the death penalty, the court imposed prison sentences and confiscation of her assets.
