Iran faults EU over support for US economic pressure

Iran condemned the European Union's support for U.S. economic pressure, accusing Europe of abandoning its claimed strategic autonomy. Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Esmaeil Baghaei stated that the EU was aligning with U.S. policy rather than making independent decisions. The EU also called for continued diplomacy with Iran to promote regional stability while supporting additional measures against Tehran.
