Iran's hardline-dominated parliament reconvened after nearly five months of confrontation with the United States. Lawmakers waved red flags of vengeance for Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei and other top officials killed on the first day of the US-Israel war on February 28. They introduced a motion called the 'Strategic Action for the Security and Sustainable Progress of the Strait of Hormuz and the Persian Gulf'. National security commission head Ebrahim Azizi wrote that this is the first step and subsequent measures are forthcoming.
