Iran has announced an increase in gasoline prices for heavy consumers, with a rate of 100,000 rials per liter for those exceeding their monthly quota of 110 liters. This decision comes amid a fragile economic context, marked by high inflation and declining purchasing power. In August, daily gasoline consumption reached nearly 145 million liters, while national production does not exceed 122 million liters. Residents fear that this increase will lead to a general rise in prices, particularly for food products.
