Iran sets crosshairs on ‘US-UAE’ oil shuttle out of Strait of Hormuz

Iranian authorities have signaled their intention to disrupt an Arab-operated and US-assisted shuttle system that has enabled increased oil exports through the Strait of Hormuz during the US-Israel war on Iran. Iran’s security chief Mohsen Rezaei stated that the shuttle system is now an explicit target for Tehran, claiming Iran controls the strait despite US and UAE efforts to smuggle oil via smaller vessels. He warned of harsh retaliation if Iran’s energy or civilian infrastructure is attacked again.
