Iran: Tehran welcomes Donald Trump's setbacks in the midterm elections

Iranian parliament vice-president Ali Nikzad attributed Republican losses in the midterm elections to Washington’s war against Iran. Tinubu’s Aide Highlights ‘Technical Glitches’ in US Election

Tope Ajayi, Nigerian President Bola Tinubu’s Senior Special Assistant on Media and Publicity, cited technical and logistical problems in the US midterm election in a post on X on Wednesday. He pointed to ballot-scanner programming glitches in parts of New York, equipment failure in Broward County, Florida, and a Kansas polling station that reportedly received 100 paper ballots instead of 100,000. Ajayi also referred to 250,000 ballots that would be counted manually and said US commentators had not discredited the election as some Nigerians do. His remarks come amid continuing controversy over technical and logistical problems cited by critics of Nigeria’s 2023 presidential election.
