Iran to announce restricted zone outside Strait of Hormuz

Iran will announce a restricted zone outside the Strait of Hormuz, according to Mohsen Rezaei, Secretary of the Supreme National Security Council. Vessels attempting to pass through this zone without prior coordination with Tehran will face sanctions. Rezaei also disclosed that an international corridor for passage through the strait will be managed by Iran and announced soon, in response to the closure of the strait until the United States fulfills its obligations under a peace memorandum.
