‘Iran was a piece of it’: Trump breaks silence after Democrats defeat Republicans

Donald Trump blamed the Republicans’ heavy defeat in the US midterm elections on the war with Iran and rising gasoline prices. In a Fox News interview on Tuesday night, he acknowledged that the conflict played a part but said he had no regrets about launching it and would do so again. Democrats took control of both the Senate and the House of Representatives, also winning Texas, Kansas and South Carolina, conservative states Trump carried in 2024. Trump also said Republicans lost because he was not on the ballot.
